Summary: Watir 1.5 is under development
Project: Watir

We are actively working on Watir 1.5 and have moved some of the project support resources to a new site: OpenQA.org. That's why things look abandoned here on Rubyforge. Don't despair! We've migrated our bug reports and other tracker information to a Jira-based system and have also moved the source repository. Please see http://www.openqa.org/watir/ and
http://wiki.openqa.org/display/WTR/Project+Home

We are still using Rubyforge for the mailing lists and will be releasing Watir 1.5 here when it is ready for release. Development builds can be found at OpenQA. For complete details on the transition see http://www.io.com/~wazmo/blog/archives/2006_07.html#000240

Cross browser support [ reply ]
2006-09-29 16:19
Hi all,

I am new to Watir and Ruby!
I am interested in writing scripts that can be re-used to test across multiple browsers in particular Firefox and IE.

Could somebody please tell me when support for multiple browsers will be released?

Also, if I start writing Watir scripts now, using the IE functionality, how will I 're-use' my existing scripts once cross-browser support is introduced?

Apologies if this is posted to the wrong forum.

Thanks in advance,
Simon
