Summary: RMagick 1.13.0 for Windows
Project: RMagick

Brett DiFrischia has prepared a new release of RMagick for Win32. This release is based on very latest versions of Ruby, RMagick, and ImageMagick. Specifically, this is RMagick 1.13.0 compiled for the Ruby One-Click Installer 1.8.4-20 Final and bundled with ImageMagick 6.2.9-0.

The procedure for installing this package is different from earlier releases of RMagick for Win32. Notably this package includes a copy of the stand-alone Windows installer for ImageMagick 6.2.9-0. To install RMagick 1.13.0 for Win32,

* Download the 1.13.0 binary gem ("") file from RubyForge (
* Unzip the file into a temporary directory
* Read the README.html file for complete installation instructions

The README.html file addresses the most common problems that can occur during and immediately after installation. If you encounter a problem that is not addressed in the README.html file the best way to get help is to post a note on the RMagick Help Forum on RubyForge ( Both Brett and I monitor this forum.

You can view the Change Log for RMagick 1.13.0 on the RMagick home page:

Brett is the newest member of the RMagick team. He is user "orderthruchaos" on RubyForge. I don't want to post his email address on this list, but if you would like to contact him directly (for example, to say "Thanks, Brett!") you can get his email address from his RubyForge personal page.

I just uploaded the .zip package for RMagick compiled under Ruby version 1.8.5. As these files are updated on mirrors via rsync and the like, it may take an hour to a day for these files to be generally available.

The MD5 sum for this release is:
