It will be supported in future, probably at the next year.
Its API will be similar with Oracle JDBC driver's Oracle model for update batching.

Internal structure of bind values in svn trunk is prepared for update batching. It can hold an array of bind values. But now it has only one entry. I have postponed thinking about how to access more than one entry.

I also would really love this array inserts. Is there news? Will they be supported?

No. OCI8 doesn't support array DML. I have no plan for a while. I'll think it after named datatype support is added.
