Hi Tim,
I found your RubyForge site while looking around for a native ruby driver for the Progress DB so I could write a Rails adapter for it. Failing that, I have Ruby talking to Progress through Openlink's DB drivers and figured I would write an ODBC adapter for Rails. Sounds like exactly the same project you are working on!
Anyhow, I figured since I will be working on the same thing, I'd volunteer to help if you're interested.
