Hi,
The latest release (version 1.3.5) should fix this issue. Please tell me if you encounter any problems.

I hope this helps.

Hi,
My short answer is: yes, this is a redirection-related bug that I am aware of, which I intend to fix in a future version.

Currently, podcatcher tries to extract the MP3 filename from the enclosure URL mentioned in the podcast feed instead of looking at the actual URL of the fetched MP3. So when there is an HTTP redirection, podcatcher looks at the wrong URL.

Messages like yours help me in deciding how to improve podcatcher in the next version, so thanks.

Hello there.
I subscribe to Slashdot Review at this URL:
http://slashdotreview.com/wp-rss2.php
I think they do some kind of weird redirection because I am getting these files when downloading at not the original mp3 filename ("SDR2006-07-06.mp3" for example):
redirect.mp3
1152268605.158.mp3
1152269329.691.mp3

This is what i am runnning (windows):

ruby.exe podcatcher -S back_catalog -p http://www.bloglines.com/export?id=cyberfpcs

Is there something I can do or this is a bug and I should wait until you fix it?

Thanks for the great work!
