That's correct, with the reminder that "var" is just an element of the default glossary. In another glossary it could be "tmpl_var" or "value." So I really do mean "value directive." It's mentioned very briefly in the first paragraph on Value Substitutions, but maybe I can clarify that paragraph a bit.
Several times on this page, the term "value directive" is used. However, I see no [%value ... %] construct. Does the term actually mean "var directive"?
