Well a version of Qt4 QtRuby for Windows is about 2 months or more overdue. It isn't very difficult and Ryan Hinton has already got it working 2 months ago by generating the Smoke library sources on Linux and then hacking them a bit to work on Windows. The sources for QtRuby itself don't need any changes, and it should be just a matter of using extconf.rb to build them.
But I'm not a Windows programmer, and I don't like Windows much, so I'm afraid I just keeping putting it off. I'm about to do another Qt4 QtRuby release, and after that I'll finally get a Windows release done I hope.

Hi,
I've got Qt 3.3.5 and QtRuby 1.0.9 installed and working on my iBook w/Tiger, and obviously I'm happy about that - congrats on a job well done! However, it would be even greater if the app I'm writing would work on Windows and Linux as well. Do you have any idea if and when a true cross-platform version of QtRuby will be available? I'm not expecting accurate dates by any means, but some sort of a horizon would be great to satisfy my curiousity. Tomorrow, next month, next year and never are all perfectly acceptable answers to me :-)
