Gerardo,

Thank you for getting back to me. I had to abandon the Informix driver and use ODBC instead. Fortunately it worked for the script I was trying to write so I no longer need the fix. I would love to help you with your testing but, unfortunately, I removed the Informix drivers from the system and threw out all the Informix code.

Hello Jerry,

I'm sorry for the delay. I have a better idea for the patch. Can you contact me privately and help me test this new approach?

Column (extended_id) not found in any table [ reply ]

Hello,

I saw the error "Column (extended_id) not found in any table in the query (or SLV is undefined)" referenced in another thread. If I followed that thread properly it required either upgrading Informix (not an option since I am connecting to the database instance of a commercial product) or apply a patch. I am using Ruby 1.8.6 on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS server and clientsdk.3.50.UC6DE. Can you provide additional directions on the patch process or anything else I can do to get past this?

Thank you and best regards,
Jerry
