In the name of full-disclosure you should know the following things up-front about Skynet.
Skynet works. It's currently being used at Geni.com with hundreds of workers.
Skynet is young. It lacks complete documentation which would make it easier to use without help. It also lacks some needed tests. I am a true believer in TDD, but it turned out much harder to test a distributed system than I had thought. I've begun to write tests, but still have a long way to go. This will not be forgotten.
All that said, I am excited about people trying to use Skynet and helping me improve it. I will be moving the SVN repository to RubyForge soon. I am very open to patches or comments and am glad to help those that need it.
So feel free to install it, take it for a spin around the block and kick the tires a bit. Then let me know what you think.
