Happens a lot outside of Norway. :-) It's not dead in the sense that I've abandoned it, but it's somewhat run out of steam after a few weeks of frantic coding. [ reply ]   2007-12-28 19:01 First of all, my apologies for misspelling your name. That's one of my pet peeves. Second, it's good to hear this project hasn't died off completely. I use it almost daily to catch little bugs, see usage patterns, nail down slow queries, etc. It's amazing what you can "see" with this tool. However, 0.0.7 doesn't scream "done" and after a few months of zero activity. If you'd like to make me a committer, that's up to you. I can't see myself contributing a whole lot right now. I've made a couple customizations for my site. Our apache logs are owned by root, so I had to do a sudo before tailing them. I also had to modify the rails parser slightly to account for the timestamp we added to the rails log files. By: Erlend Simonsen RE: GL-tail Abandoned? The SVN version of GLTail works good enough for my use at work, so unless people come up with more ideas for features / submit patches, it's somewhat done in my eyes. Fair warning, I've only got about a year of Ruby under my belt and I've never worked on an open source project before.
