All

Excel stores calculated values along with the actual formula-data in the cell.

Spreadsheet can give you these stored values, however there is a remote possibility that they were not updated before saving.

If you keep that in mind, you should be fine.

Yes, I would love it if this had support for formulas. I need the what it calculates -- not the formula itself.

Just checking on the status of this. I agree that I really do -not- need to read the formula itself, just what it calculates.

Hi,
I would actually prefer to read the result of the formula (as calculated by excel). As a bonus it would be good to return the dynamic result (for example =today() in excel returns the current date rather than the file last saved date).
I don't really have a need to read the formula itself, just what it calculates.
Thanks,
Alister Scott

I would be interested in this feature but it's not one of my current needs.

Do you just want the formula returned as a string?

Hi,
I just posted a feature request for reading excel formulas. Is this a common wish for other users? Would this be high priority for this tool?
Thanks,
Alister Scott
