Project: VimMate

VimMate: Version 0.6.2

VimMate is a graphical add-on to Vim with IDE-like features: it does more
than the plain Vim while still being lightweight. Even with the additional
features, it stays out of the way for it's main task: editing files with Vim.
VimMate adds functionality to Vim by embedding Vim GTK GUI (gVim) within
VimMate.

See http://vimmate.rubyforge.org/ for more information.

Changes in version 0.6.2:

- # 7028: It's now possible to install VimMate using the provided setup.rb
or with Ruby Gems.

- Two layouts for the interface are now available.

- # 6761: A new way of opening files is now available. A new list of files
allows you to type only a part of a file name to see the possible files
filtered instantly.

- Long file names in the file list are now shortened.

- Files or directories can now be excluded on the command line.

Hello...
I just want to give VimMate a try, but could not be initiazed..

/usr/local/vimmate/bin/../lib/vimmatelib/vim_window.rb:37:in `initialize': uninitialized constant Gtk::Socket (NameError)

It's not a VimMate issue, i know, but I think you can help me with this.

Running VimMate v.0.6.2, ruby 1.8.4, gem 0.9.0 and all on a slack 11.0.
Thanks..
