I am finally back on my project..

Please send a sample of your code. I am not sure exactly what the difference is between LDAPS and TLS. I think LDAPS uses a different port and forces a secure connection and TLS runs on the standard LDAP port and thefore can be standard or TLS as selected by the requestor.

Just guessing since I am very new at this LDAP process.

Do you mean LDAP over TLS?

I have successfully used net-ldap to communicate with both Active Directory and Novell eDirectory using openssl.

If you need a code snippet, let me know, I'll send you one.

When will LDAPS be implemented?

The LDAP server I am wanting to connect with only uses LDAPS.

I anyone knows of a workaround that would be helpfull as well.
