News for Nihongo Benkyo 0.1

This release focuses on the dictionary functions. Nihongo Benkyo uses a database engine so it can retrieve dictionary entries very quickly from kanji, hiragana, katakana, romaji or translation. In the settings, provided nihongobenkyo-import is installed on your system, you can import some dictionary ressources in the database. Currently, only the Edict file format is supported but many dictionaries are available in this format (see related links). You can select the dictionaries in which Nihongo Benkyo will seek entries and you can give a priority to each dictionary. For example, if you are german you can tell Nihongo Benkyo to display german entries before english entries. Last but not the least, Nihongo Benkyo can scan the selection from other applications. For example, if you are reading a japanese page in your browser or chatting with a friend on IM, selecting a word will popup Nihongo Benkyo with the results of the selected word.
