Summary: JIT compilation on YARV works!
Project: Ludicrous JIT Compiler

The first unit test that successfully jit-compiles a method on YARV has been just been committed to the Ludicrous git repository on github. The method doesn't do much except return the number 42, but a lot of boilerplate is now in place to begin to compile more complex methods. The API for ruby 1.9 is more sophisticated than for 1.8, so development should go much more quickly and with fewer glitches.
