Just a heads up that RMagick 1.6.2 is the last release that will support versions of ImageMagick prior to 6.0.0. The next release of RMagick will
require ImageMagick 6.0.0 or later. That release of ImageMagick has been available since January. The current release of ImageMagick is 6.1.6.

All previous releases of RMagick have supported ImageMagick 5.5.1 or later, but testing RMagick with so many old releases of ImageMagick is becoming impractical.

I do not intend to remove any existing support for older IM releases, so it's quite possible the next release of RMagick will work with them, but I
will not be testing with IM releases prior to 6.0.0 and cannot guarantee anything.

RMagick will continue to support all releases of GraphicsMagick and all releases of Ruby between 1.6.7 and the 1.8.2 previews.
