I just heard from the ImageMagick team that ImageMagick 6.3.2 has a new option called -polaroid. This option creates an effect inspired by my Polaroid tutorial (http://rmagick.rubyforge.org/Polaroid/polaroid.html) for RMagick. This is the second time that an ImageMagick enhancement has been inspired by RMagick. The first was the -vignette option, which was based on the vignette.rb example in the RMagick distribution.
