Here's the stuff that's happening on RubyForge - last updated December 11, 2006 by Tom.

Recent events:

• RubyForge is now running PostgreSQL 8.2

Upcoming events:

• We're going to switch RubyForge over to SSH2 only to improve security. We'll probably do this... well, I'm not sure when. Anyhow, I'll post more news on the front page as we figure out how to make it nice and smooth.

Site technical notes:

• RubyForge runs on Linux 2.6, PostgreSQL 8.2, Apache 2.2, Postfix 2.3, Mailman 2.1, and PHP 4. The PostgreSQL database contains about 18 million records and takes up 2 GB of disk space. We send email to about 10,000 recipients per day.
• RubyForge is currently running on a single machine with two 3 GHz Xeon CPUs, 4 GB of RAM, and a 750 GB hardware RAID 5 SATA 2 array.
